About the Program
Begin your journey to becoming an OM yoga teacher. In this training you will learn the principals of OM yoga including the benefits, the philosophy and how this relates to our everyday lives. By the end of this course you will have the confidence to manifest and transmit the OM yoga method with your own authentic presence. Upon successful completion of this program, teacher trainees will be certified to teach OM yoga and qualified to register with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level.
CEUs are also available.

Requirements
All applicants must be able to do urdhva dhanurasana, sirsasana (without support of the wall), and adho mukha vrksasana (with or without the wall). All applicants must have a consistent yoga practice of at least two years.
Students will attend 30 asana classes between program October 26th and March 16th, 2008. Due to the hands-on nature of the program, perfect attendance is strongly recommended. The Independent Study (practical portion of the course),including hands-on adjustments and leading practice classes must be competed by end of program. There is written homework, reading assignments, final exam, and a final teaching project. Upon successful completion, teacher trainees will be qualified to register with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level.

$3600 for OM yoga's Greenwich Yoga program, tuition includes 20 of the 30 required asana classes to be taken at Greenwich Yoga or OM yoga NYC.

About the program
An eight-day intensive course taught in a seminar-style, Road to OM is designed for experienced teachers from other yoga traditions who are interested in learning more about OM's vinyasa style and in teaching at OM yoga Center and Greenwich Yoga. This is also the pre-requisite for non-OM yoga certified teachers who would like to take the OM 500 teacher training program, a 500 hour teacher certification, focusing on specifics such as therapeutics, restorative yoga, prenatal yoga, how to teach beginners, and deepening your dharma. CEUs also available.
Coursework
36 contact hours of OM yoga
teaching methodology and practicum involving vinyasa sequencing, use of voice and language, safe hands-on adjustments, visual assessment and creating classroom mandala through music, spatial awareness and the genuine transmission of yoga
12 OM yoga asana classes
Dharma & Meditation Day
involving dharma talk, meditation instruction and practice, learning how to integrate Buddhist philosophy into the teaching of asana
Reading assignments and homework, both written and oral
Study groups to provide support, deepen your understanding and cultivate curiosity
10 percent discount off all store items during teacher training period
Nightly homework will include reading, writing and preparing presentations with your study group.
